Sunrise over Half Dome at Glacier Point canvas print by Mike Lee. Bring your artwork to life with the texture and depth of a stretched canvas print. Your image gets printed onto one of our premium canvases and then stretched on a wooden frame of 1.5" x 1.5" stretcher bars (gallery wrap) or 5/8" x 5/8" stretcher bars (museum wrap). I left the Bay Area at 12:30am and headed out to Yosemite for a 4 day trip. I left early because I wanted to get there in time for sunrise. I did make it up there with time to spare and got all the way up to Glacier Point. There were some people who looked like they slept out there under the stars and were waiting for the sunrise as well.
This was my first time using my new Lee Graduated ND filters so it took me a while to play around with them, but I'm pretty happy with the results. No HDR here, just a single exposure using a .9 ND Soft Grad + .6 ND Soft Grad.
Even though it was early, the air was warm. I was standing there in shorts and a t-shirt and there was only a very slight breeze. At times, I was so taken in by the light and the scenery that I would forget to take periodic shots with the camera. This one was timed right as the sun was coming up over Half Dome. I used a small aperture to get the starburst effect.

Thank you Lynn! Ohh, I definitely want to spend more time along the Tioga Road next time. I only spent one day up there this trip. Seems like Tenaya Lake and the Tuolumne Meadows would have some nice sunrise potential
